Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 October 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Polltech Management Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (“Polltech”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares information when you visit our websites, including pollnews.in, use our software, applications or other services, contact us, apply for a role, or otherwise interact with us.

This policy covers our services generally. A particular product or engagement may provide additional privacy information where its features or data practices require it. If we introduce a feature that collects new types of information, we will update this policy and provide any notice required for that feature.

1. Who we are and our role

Polltech Management Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is responsible for personal information we handle for our own website, business communications, recruitment and service operations. When we provide services to a client, we may process information on that client’s behalf under the relevant agreement and instructions. In that case, the client may determine why the information is collected and how it is used, and its privacy information may also apply.

2. Information we may collect

The information we handle depends on how you interact with us and which services you use. It may include:

  • Contact and business information: name, email address, phone number, organisation, job title, and the contents of enquiries or other communications.
  • Account and service information: account identifiers, login and access details, settings, support requests, and information needed to provide a service.
  • Information provided through a service: text, feedback, survey responses, records, or other content that a user or client chooses to submit, together with related service activity. The information involved depends on the product and the client’s instructions.
  • Recruitment information: information in an application, such as work history, qualifications, contact details and a resume.
  • Technical and usage information: browser and device details, IP address, pages or features used, access times, diagnostic records and security events, as handled by our website or service providers.

We do not currently collect a user’s mobile GPS location or access photos through our software. If a future service includes location, camera, photo or similar features, we will explain the relevant collection and purpose before or when that feature is used.

3. How information is collected

We collect information directly when you contact us, submit a form, apply for a job, create or use an account, or enter content into a service. We may also receive information from a client that has authorised us to provide services, and receive technical information from your browser or device when you use our websites and applications.

For example, text entered into the current public sentiment-analysis demonstration is processed locally in your browser to display a result; that demonstration does not send or save the entered text to Polltech. Please do not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information into a public demonstration.

4. How we use information

We may use information to provide, operate, maintain and secure our websites, software and services; set up and manage accounts; respond to enquiries and support requests; process recruitment; communicate service notices; troubleshoot and improve our offerings; administer client engagements; comply with legal obligations; and protect our users, clients, services and legal rights.

Where Polltech processes information on behalf of a client, we use it for the purposes agreed with that client and in accordance with its instructions and applicable law. We do not sell personal information or use client information for independent advertising.

5. Legal grounds and choices

Where applicable law requires a legal ground for processing, we rely on an appropriate ground, which may include your consent, steps you request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with law, or another permitted ground. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it, subject to legal or contractual limits and the effect this may have on the related feature or service.

6. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with the client for whom a service is provided and its authorised users; vendors that host, maintain, secure or support our systems; professional advisers; and public authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, rights or the services. Service providers may use information only to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing.

7. Cookies and third-party services

Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies for essential operation, security and preferences. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work properly if they are disabled. Some pages may include third-party content or services, such as maps or web fonts. When your browser loads those features, the third party may receive technical information under its own privacy terms.

8. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide a service, meet contractual or legal requirements, resolve disputes, or protect our rights. Where we process information for a client, retention is also governed by the relevant agreement and client instructions. We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. International processing

Our service providers or clients may process or access information in locations outside your state or country. Where required, we take steps to handle such transfers in accordance with applicable law and our agreements.

10. Children

Our services are intended for business, professional and general audiences and are not designed for children to create accounts or submit personal information independently. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authority, please contact us.

11. Your rights and privacy requests

Depending on applicable law and our role in relation to the information, you may have rights to request access, correction, updating or erasure of personal information, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance. Contact us using the details below. If the information was provided to us by a client or is processed on its behalf, we may forward your request to that client or assist the client in responding. We may ask for information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.

12. Links to other websites

Our websites or services may link to websites and services operated by others. This policy does not cover their privacy practices. Please review the privacy information published by those third parties.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, information practices or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice where required.
